The MDA Dance Company is an extracurricular program within our dance school. Students in our dance company receive additional training and rehearsal time outside of regularly scheduled classes. Company members will be given the opportunity to perform at community events, private events, sporting events, dance competitions, etc. in addition to performing in our annual recital.

Mini Company Audition Requirements:

• Dancers ages 3-9 years old who are committed and ready to take their dance training and performance quality to the next level.

  Audition: June 22nd, 5:30pm-6pm

*Audition Fee: $15

Main Company Audition Requirements:

• Dancers ages 10-17 years old who are committed and ready to take their dance training and performance quality to the next level.

• 2 prior years of dance training.

• Must have taken ballet and/or modern.

  Audition: June 22nd, 6:15pm-7:30pm

*Audition Fee: $15

Scholarship Audition Requirements:

• Both prospective and returning dancers have a chance to audition and earn a full scholarship to our company program.

• Must be ages 10-17

• Prepare a 60sec solo to a song of your choice

• 1 page essay. Must be typed. Please chose one of the following prompts:

  • How has dance helped shape who you are outside of the studio?

  • Describe a challenge you faced in dance or in life and how you worked through it. What did you learn?

  • What motivates you to keep dancing even on difficult days?

  • What qualities make a great teammate and company memeber? how do you demonstrates those qualities?
